ISLAMABAD, Feb. 20 (Gwadar Pro) - The Adviser to Prime Minister on National Health Dr. Zafar Mirza has said that the government is all set to announce new National Medicine Policy within the next two weeks.

The work on medicine policy had already been completed aimed at reforming the pharmaceutical industry of the country, the adviser was quoted as saying by Business Recorder.

In addition, a five-year action plan was devised for implementation of the policy, he said, the regulatory system was also being made predictable and easy for growing the pharmaceutical sector in the country.

He said that the government was committed to reforming the pharmaceutical sector and all bottle necks were being removed in that regard.

The adviser also conceded that there were more difficulties due to presence of interest groups.

He said efforts were also being made that only best possible people could run the regulatory authority.

The adviser also urged the pharmaceutical sector to shun practice of unethical promotion of certain products.
