Gwadar’s Oldest Business Centre Inaugurated on Jan 28

GWADAR, Jan.28(Gwadar Pro)- The Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) on January 28 formally reopened Gwadar’s oldest commercial and business center, Mulla Fazal Chowk, following a comprehensive overhaul, expansion, and renovation.

Gwadar lawmaker Maulana Hadait ur Rehman attended the inauguration ceremony, which marked the completion of the project.

Also present were GDA Chief Engineer Haji Saeed Ahmed, Municipal Committee Chairman Majid Johar, GDA Road Engineer Nadir Baloch, Executive Engineer Qasim Baloch, along with senior officials and representatives of civil society.

Speaking at the event, MPA Hadait ur Rehman said that chronic drainage overflow had long caused difficulties for traders and residents in the area. He said the renovation has addressed the problem and eased long-standing public concerns.

He added that no water accumulation was observed during recent heavy rainfall, calling it clear evidence of the project’s effectiveness.

GDA Chairman Moin ur Rehman said the project was completed under Phase I of the Old Town Rehabilitation Plan, adding that remaining work would be carried out in Phase II.

He said GDA is committed to completing all projects on schedule while maintaining standards of transparency and construction quality.
