Over 500 students take entry test at Pakistan-China Institute Gwadar

ISLAMABAD, Jan.10(Gwadar Pro) - On Monday, over 500 students from Baluchistan, both male and female appeared in the entry test to enroll in various diploma programs offered by the Pakistan-China Technical and Vocational Institute (PCT&VI) at Gwadar University.

The Institute conducted the entry test for admission to various three-year and one-year diploma programs in seven areas of study. 40% of the applicants who appeared in the test were female students which is indicative of a quality and conducive learning environment at the institute.

As per the institute’s official notification, all training programs and course curricula are developed in collaboration with the Shandong Institute of Commerce and Technology (SICT), China, and relevant accrediting bodies.

It will accommodate about 300 students and will provide them with one year of learning after which they will be transferred to the Shandong Institute of Commerce and Technology in China for a one-year diploma.

The courses include maritime and port management, software technology, e-commerce, and tourism management, a diploma in electronics, an advanced diploma in Chinese language and culture, and an advanced diploma in the English language.

PCT&VI at Gwadar is built to empower the youth of Baluchistan, especially women, by providing them with technical education and skills, which will help them get job opportunities in Gwadar Port, Free Zone Industry, and other projects of CPEC. It is expected to play an important role in the region’s development, providing huge benefits to the youth of Baluchistan, especially Gwadar.
