Zong 4G launches E-Sports platform

ISLAMABAD, Nov 2 (Gwadar Pro)- China Mobile’s Zong 4G, Pakistan’s leading digital network, has launched its first-ever E-sports platform “Zong Engage”, to elevate the gaming experience of the country’s youth.

With its launch, all gaming enthusiasts can subscribe to the service to participate in exciting online gaming tournaments, and win prizes. Recognizing the exponentially increasing popularity of mobile gaming amongst the youth, Zong Engage will cater to all customers’ gaming needs.

Under the package, the subscribers will gain access to epic gaming competitions for popular games such as PUBG, FreeFire, FIFA Mobile, Need for Speed No Limits, and Asphalt at a reasonable cost.

The company’s official spokesperson, while expressing their excitement about the launch, said: “We are thrilled to announce Zong Engage. Pakistan has an undiscovered pool of extraordinary talent in e-gaming. Therefore, in an effort to increase recognition for the ‘sport,’ we have introduced ‘Engage’.

“It will serve as an electrifying platform for the youth of the country and testifies to the company’s position as the foremost 4G provider for Gen Z and leading digital enabler of Pakistan,” he emphasized.

The E-sports industry is one of the leading digital industries of the globe. Unlike traditional sports, E sports includes entertainment and gaming competitions based on platforms like PCs (or gaming computers), consoles like Xbox and PlayStation, and smartphones.

Pakistan ranks as the 11th top country in spending on E-sports. Pakistan's digital fields such as e-commerce and e-sports have huge development potential and are expected to generate revenue for the country and attract large amounts of capital, and on the other hand, the gaming and E-sports industry in Pakistan would be able to accommodate the demand of the youth for employment.

E-sports is a billion-dollar industry, which gradually improving in Pakistan and proving to produce a pool of more talent in different games with bigger prize pools. Obviously, the future of E- sports in Pakistan is crystal clear and bright.
