Thar Block 1 Project and LONGi solar received 20th Annual Environment Excellence Awards 2023

KARACHI, Aug 11 (Gwadar Pro) - Thar Block 1 Integrated Energy Project and LONGi Solar Pakistan have been honored with the 20th Annual Environment Excellence Award-2023 by the National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH).

On Wednesday night, the 20th NFEH Environmental Awards took place at a local hotel in Karachi, with Consul General UAE Bakheet Ateeq Al Rumaithi gracing the event as the chief guest. The ceremony was held alongside a Conference on “Adapting Urban Transportation to Climate Change.”

Meng Donghai, Chairman of Thar Block 1 Integrated Energy Project, stressed that his company, which is working on a CPEC priority project, will continue playing its role in protecting the environment. “This is the third year in a row that we have received this honour. We have been working on various projects for the greater benefit of the community and will continue to make sure that our company makes lives better for the people of the area,” he said.

LONGi Solar’s Ali Majid participated in the event and received the award. “LONGi remains committed to fostering a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future in Pakistan through its contributions,” reads a statement of the company. “We will persist in our pursuit of sustainable development and endeavor to make further contributions to an eco-friendlier planet,” the company affirmed.
