PIA resumes direct flight between Islamabad and Beijing
BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Gwadar Pro) - Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) restarted its passenger flights to China with the arrival of PK-854 at Beijing Capital Airport on Sunday afternoon.
Bilal Afzal, Country Manager of PIA told the reporter that the national carrier will operate a weekly flight every Sunday on the Islamabad-Beijing-Islamabad route, departing Beijing at 9:15 pm local time.
“PIA’s operation for China resumed today. The first flight PK:854 ISB-PEK arrived at 19:20 local time here and departed for ISB PK 855 at 9:22 pm carrying 206 passengers and substantial cargo,” he stated.
He further said that a special ceremony was held at Beijing Capital International Airport for the re-launch. He welcomed a Chinese business delegation led by Ghulam Qadir Commercial Counsellor at the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing.
Bilal said that passengers traveling by PIA could fly from Pakistan to 16 connecting cities of China via Beijing in affiliation with Air China. These Chinese cities include Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Harbin, Hangzhou, Changchun, etc.
