Conditions are favorable for investment in Sindh: Kamran Tessori

KARACHI, Jan. 25 (Gwadar Pro) - Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori said on Monday that  conditions for investment in Sindh are favorable for Chinese investment and Chinese investors can take full advantage of them.

In his meeting with delegation of China's Shandong High Speed Group headed by Zhang Lin, Governor Sindh said Pak-China cooperation in various fields is exemplary. During the meeting both sides discussed matters of mutual interest.

He said that there is a potential for Chinese investment in various areas of the province including education, technical and vocational education and training, health, poverty alleviation, clean drinking water, agriculture, livestock and fisheries.

Recently, China adjusted its COVID prevention and control policies, which include the removal of measures to control the number of international flights and restoration of people-to-people exchanges for business and study. These will further promote the exchange of people, and facilitate the investments between China and Pakistan.

The Sindh government is keen to kick-start a number of projects under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). More than 400 Chinese and Pakistani firms attended the Sindh chapter of CPEC Industrial Cooperation B2B Investment Conference last year organized by the Board of Investment in Karachi. Chinese investors showed interest in all the sectors of Sindh, and they remained focused on sectors like IT, Housing & Construction, and Agriculture & Livestock.
