NANDIPUR, Dec. 22 (Gwadar Pro) - Besides providing jobs to locals, POWERCHINA has taken a new initiative to provide free training to its local managerial staff at Nandipur Power Plant to equip them with modern skills to adapt quickly to the new working environment and to know about career development.

In this regard, POWERCHINA recently took advantage of the construction interval and carried out training for local managerial staff at the Nandipur power plant, in Punjab. “Through the training, they would quickly adjust to the new working environment,” reads an official statement of the company, adding that they can enhance their skills for a better career.

During the training session, they learn the effective usage of the projector and SIS online system. The project department has set a series of courses including steam turbine systems, gas turbine systems, and electrical systems, as well as safety management procedures and security precautions.

Mr. Mill, a local worker, is a young man with 8 years of work experience in POWERCHINA Pakistan. He dreams of becoming an excellent mechanic, reads materials, dismantles machinery, and consults colleagues to improve his skills. “Chinese companies brought us new technologies and equipment, enabling us to see more progress,” the official statement of the company quoted him as saying.

Now, Mr. Mill also teaches other local employees some simple Chinese words, enabling Chinese and Pakistani employees to better understand each other. Under his influence, many Pakistani employees show a strong interest in China’s technology and Chinese culture.

“I want to go to China one day to see the outside world and learn more advanced experience and technology,” he said.
