Anhui Construction-led JV pre-qualified for Rawalpindi-Kahuta Road

ISLAMABAD, Oct.14 (Gwadar Pro) - China’s Anhui Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (ACEG) in a joint venture with Matracon Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. has topped the list of the pre-qualified companies for the construction of Rawalpindi Kahuta Road, Sihala Bypass and Kahuta Bypass (Package-I).

According to the National Highway Authority (NHA)’s announced pre-qualification evaluation report, 15 companies have applied to get the contract. The JV of ACEG and Matracon Pakistan are top of the nine pre-qualified companies while six companies have been disqualified. The evaluation has been performed in accordance with the Pre-Qualification basis based on PPRA Rule 15.

Package I of the project consists of the dualization of Rawalpindi-Kahuta Road 28.4 km including a four-lane bridge over Sihala Railway Pass, Sihala Bypass, and Kahuta Bypass.

ACEG is one of the Top 500 China’s Enterprises and international contractors. The company possesses five top-grade qualifications as a general construction contractor in the sectors of building and road construction. Earlier this month, ACEG and its Pakistani partner also remained at top of companies for the construction of the Lahore Sialkot Motorway (LSM) to Narang Mandi & Narowal (Package I -II- III).
