NEPRA admitted Tariff Modification Reference for 300 MW Coal Fired Power Gwadar

ISLAMABAD, Oct. 12 (Gwadar Pro) - National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has accepted a petition for modification/revision of the reference tariff filed by CIHC Pak Power Company (Pvt.) Limited for its 300 MW Gwadar Coal Fired Power Generation project at Gwadar, Balochistan.

Zhao Bo, Chairman of CIHC Pak Power, on August 25 had submitted a petition for the modification of the reference tariff under Sections 7 and 21 of the NEPRA Act and Rule 3 of the NEPRA Tariff and requested the authority to process the petition at the earliest to “enable the Project Company to proceed further with the development of this strategically important project”.

 While admitting the petition NEPRA has informed all the stakeholders and interested/affected persons through a notification. The Authority has stated that any person may also file comments in the matter within seven days (by October 13) and the Authority, if deemed fit, may permit the participation of such a person into the proceedings and also may consider those comments in the final determination.
