Food donations: Pakistani political parties grateful to CPC for generous help
ISLAMABAD, Sept. 19 (Gwadar Pro) - A number of Pakistani political parties on Sunday afternoon expressed gratitude to the Communist Party of China (CPC) after receiving food donations amid the devastating floods in Pakistan.
The political parties getting flood relief assistance from the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (ID-CPC) through the Chinese embassy in Pakistan included Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP), Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP), Hazara Democratic Party (HDP), Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Awami National Party (ANP) and Mutahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).
JWP chief Nawabzada Shazain Bugti told Gwadar Pro that the assistance from CPC and many Chinese companies had played a key role in minimizing the issues of the flood affectees.
Bugti, who is also the Federal Minister for Narcotic's Control, said China had always proved to be a friend in need.
"We are thankful to CPC and the Chinese people for their efforts to help the flood affectees. We remain committed to this everlasting friendship," he added.
ANP leader Aimal Wali Khan also appreciated CPC and the Chinese embassy in Pakistan for untiring efforts to drag the flood affectees out of trouble.
"The aid from China has been generous and regular. ANP is proud of its ties with CPC," he maintained in a conversation with Gwadar Pro.
MQM-P leader Syed Faisal Subzwari, who is also the Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, thanked CPC and the Chinese people for the great support during the ongoing flood situation.
"China is a great friend and the support by CPC and the Chinese people proves it every time we need them. This aid from China has won the Pakistanis’ heart," he told Gwadar Pro.
Members of the other parties who received the CPC help also appreciated China and the Chinese embassy in Pakistan for taking the flood situation in Pakistani seriously.
ID-CPC, through the embassy of China in Pakistan, has donated food pack assistance to the flood-affected people of Balochistan through national and regional level political parties.
In a statement issued here, ID-CPC noted that Pakistani people were facing a disastrous situation due to the massive floods, which affected their livelihoods on all levels by causing heavy damage to road connectivity, infrastructure, and food supply chain.
In this time of trouble for the country, China again provided all kinds of support to the people of Pakistan in terms of financial assistance, medical services, tents, food for the needy and much more, the statement said. ID-CPC is also in the process of providing more food pack assistance to other parties in the coming days.
Earlier, the food packs were donated in different affected areas of Quetta, Pashtoon Abad, Hanna Urak, Saryab, Marriabad, Hazara Town, Kalat, Kharan, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, Usta Muhammad, Karachi, Hyderabad, Charsadda, Peshawar and many more areas.
Thousands of recipients of this assistance have shown a lot of trust in the true, strong and everlasting friendship and companionship of Pakistan and China and extended best wishes for the future of the two brotherly countries.
