LAHORE, Sept. 9 (Gwadar Pro) – With the first 3rd Generation HAVAL H6 rolling off the assembly line in Lahore on September 1, 2022, the knocked down factory of Great Wall Motor (GWM), a Chinese auto maker, officially goes into operation in Pakistan.

At the launching ceremony held in Lahore, the first 3rd Generation HAVAL H6 assembled locally impressed visitors with its stunning appearance and good performance.

“Lahore KD factory’s planned capacity of the first phase is 20,000 each year,” said Mr. Tony Sun, Deputy General Manager of GWM International.

“The locally assembled vehicles will not only reduce the price, but also make the delivery to our customers easier,” said Sun.

In addition, Sun told Gwadar Pro that the KD factory is estimated to create 800 direct job opportunities for locals.

“GWM is committed to introducing cutting-edge production technology and management experience into Pakistan. We hope to make contributions with our Pakistani partners to the high-quality construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC),” Sun added.

GWM and its Pakistani distributor, Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (Sazgar), have been cooperating closely, which ensures that the knocked down factory was put into operation successfully.

It’s worth remembering that vehicles of GWM are popular with Pakistanis.

As early as 2008, a total of 15 police pickups made by GWM were donated to Pakistan by Luo Zhaohui, then Chinese ambassador to Pakistan, on behalf of Chinese government because the pickup’s performance is well suited to local conditions of Pakistan.

GWM pickup has become a token of China-Pakistan friendship.

GWM is committed to providing green and intelligent travel experience for Pakistani customers in the future.
