CPEC: NHA invites proposal for Kuchlak-Zhob Section of N-50
ISLAMABAD, Aug. 3 (Gwadar Pro) - The National Highway Authority (NHA), Ministry of Communication, on Tuesday issued a prequalification notice for “Dualization of Kuchlak-Zhob Section of N-50, Package-III”, an important section of the Western Route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The package includes a 50KM long patch of N-50 between Qila Saifullah and Nasai which falls between the Kuchlak and Zhob areas of Balochistan.
NHA has invited applications from the contractors registered with Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments and who are on the Active Taxpayers List of the Federal Board of Revenue and registered with Pakistan Engineering Council in Category CA with Specialization in CE-OI and 02-CE for the Year 2022.
Earlier on July 20, NHA also invited a prequalification notice for the ‘Dualization and improvement of Existing N-50 from Yarik-Sagu-Zhob (50KM-Package-I)”.
As per NHA plan, the dualization of the 298KM long Kuchlak-Zhob Highway has been divided into five packages. They include 65KM Zhob-Tangi Package, 65KM Tangi-Qila Saifullah Package, 50KM Qila Saifullah Nasai Package, 65Km Nasai-Khanozai package, and Khanozai-Kuchlak package.
The 298Km Kuchlak-Zhob N-50 will connect the far-flung areas of Balochistan with the rest of the country including the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). It will reduce travel time between Quetta and Dera Ismail Khan by eight hours.
This project falls under the existing road infrastructure of the country and is being enhanced under CPEC through the upgradation of existing roads.
