CSC prepares students to Study in China
PESHAWAR: The China Study Centre (CSC), University of Peshawar, is commencing Spring Semester’s HSK-1 certificate classes from next week. The course will be taught in morning and evening shifts at CSC, University of Peshawar. The classes will begin on February 17 and the duration of the course is one month. Upon completion, a Chinese Language Certificate will be offered to the successful candidates.
“Majority of our students are those who are already enrolled in different Chinese educational institutions; the HSK1 course will help them at the beginning of their studies in China,” said an official of the admission department. CSC also runs HSK2 and HSK 3 courses.
Talking to Gwadar Pro, Director of CSC Professor Dr. Zahid Anwar termed the second phase of CPEC as a “corridor of knowledge and higher education”, adding that China has become a popular destination for Pakistani students.
According to him, during the recent visit of Prime Minister Imran to Beijing, Pakistan and China are committed to further enhancing cooperation between the educational institutions of the two countries. “Cooperation in education will help our students get maximum benefits out of the CPEC projects,” Mr. Anwar noted.
Besides Chinese language courses, CSC is also playing a pivotal role in facilitating needy and deserving students of the University of Peshawar in getting Chinese Scholarships. It also helps send faculty members of the University of Peshawar to China to receive training of international standards.
