ISLAMABAD, Oct. 26 (Gwadar pro)- The fifth edition of the Pakistan Industrial Expo organised by China’s Everest Int’l Expo will be held both online and offline in Lahore From October 29 to October 31.

A total of 105 firms from Shandong and Henan  will display their industrial products at the exhibition, Zhu Shuliang, deputy general manager of Everest, said. He, along with another senior company official, Zhou Runcheng, is in Lahore to look after the arrangements of the exhibition at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club.

Zhu said that it was for the first time that China-SCO Local Economic Cooperation Demonstration Area (SCODA) was taking part in an industrial expo in Pakistan. SCODA is a demonstration zone for local economic and trade cooperation with China-Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in the Jiaozhou Economic and Technological Development Zone in Qingdao, Shandong Province, as per Xinhua News Agency.

The products on display will include energy, construction, agricultural, plastic, chemical, auto, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery. The exhibitors have transported their products to the exhibition site, which will be later moved to the permanent display facility of Everest Int’l at Johar Town so that Pakistani traders can observe the same throughout the year, Zhu said.

The organisers have invited all Chambers and organisations of Pakistani businessmen for the three-day expo. The expo will also provide businessmen from both sides with a matchmaking opportunity assisted by trained staff of the Everest Int'l, Zhu said. "We had organised the event online in 2020, which had an encouraging response. This year, we expect even more B2B meetings and deals, as businessmen from the Pakistani side will have a chance of physical participation as well", Zhu elaborated.

Zhu said that Shandong province was famous for agricultural machinery at affordable cost. Similarly, Henan is also home to quality and affordable machinery for construction, auto parts, energy, and other sectors, he said. He said that the exhibition will enable Pakistani traders to introduce cost-effective Chinese machinery into various fields, which will increase the output and income of the people.

Moreover, SCODA will run a fully-customised stall to strengthen two-way exchanges between Pakistan and SCODA in the areas of economy, trade, culture, and investment. SCODA cooperates with Pakistan Industrial Expo in international logistics, modern trade, two-way investment and business, travel, and cultural exchanges, he said.

For accurate matchmaking between the exhibitors and the visitors, Everest Int’l has also established a pre-registration system in which all Pakistani businessmen are welcome to join, Zhu said.
