Using Uyghur-Xinjiang card old propaganda technique against China

The western media’s propaganda against China has been exposed after President of the United States of America calling the coronavirus as a “Chinese Virus”. This ridiculous and racist gesture by President Donald Trump clearly pictured that how its media put blame on China besides calling it a “Chinese Virus”. The US is afraid and can’t resist China’s growing economy any more. Using media outlets specifically for the purpose of delivering false narratives on Uyghur in Xinjiang is western media’s digital war tactic against China. As a part of digital war, what westernized media tells you mostly are like 1 million Uyghur Muslims in concentration camps and “Ethnic Cleansing and Cultural Genocide”. Let’s see beyond the distorted truth, and exaggerated and sensational media reports.

No one will tell you China has invested billions of dollars in Xinjiang province, modernizing the cities, linking with bullet trains, and near around two dozens of airports are being built and a few already operational. Having tremendous GDP growth since 2007, as an over 2000-year-old historical region is a part of ancient Silk Road and still having importance in BRI, could it be a region of genocide? Would a region with more than 20000 mosques protecting minorities’ religious point of views and Xinjiang Islamic Association allow anyone for ethnic cleansing? Uyghur Muslims are making up 40 percent of total Xinjiang’s population. Do you still think more than a million Uyghur would be in concentrations camps? If China genocides Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, why would they have grown up as the population doubled in the last 40 years? The truth is obvious.

Xinjiang plays an important role in China’s economy and political structure. Many political Uyghur Muslims are also members and officially part of CPC. Uyghur Muslims have served and are still on important Chinese diplomatic positions even as ambassadors. So there is much fake news you see around on digital media and even on mainstream media. Journalist, who are writing about Xinjiang’s Uyghur Muslims, are trying to portrait this region as a biggest concentration camp on earth. It is only a very good technique for western media to publish depressive stories in Muslim societies or through paid Muslim journalist so that the people are already against of China politically and ideologically want to trigger fire and hate.

A few of journalists are now trying to blame Muslim leadership like Pakistan that why keeping silence on Uyghur Muslims deprivation. This digital war strategy is also trying to create a vacuum between Belt & Road partner countries and China. Putting false and unverified information together and pushing a country like Pakistan to speak publicly against Uyghur is a well-organized propagandist approach. By saying that censorship on mega projects related to CPEC in Pakistan and government of Pakistan and military leadership in the country not allowing anyone to speak against or criticize CPEC is another propagandist narrative which they want to weaken the understanding between the two powerful countries in the region. Mostly, these westernized or followers of west ideologies have no idea about what exactly CPEC or BRI is.

Recently, an attempt of establishment of an argument on “keeping silence on Uyghur will also cost credibility on the Kashmir issue” makes no sense. Kashmir is a disputed land and Pakistan has its mirror clear political stance over Kashmir issue. Whereas, Xinjiang is an integral part of China. It’s China’s province. It is a part of sovereign state.  Pakistan has consistent policy over the Jammu and Kashmir.

Seeing broadly China’s tensions with the U.S could not be yet described as a cold war situation. It can’t divide the world but only creates more balance to this global world. Trump’s next tenure will be decided soon by the U.S citizens. China’s leadership is more concerned on peacekeeping, prosperity oriented, business attitude, global infrastructure aiming and global policy maker superintendence direction. These internal peacekeeping policies are fabulous which are bringing out Chinese nation from poverty. They are remarkable and focused on economic growth not only domestic but internationally, which shows China’s potential and maybe threat to the west that it may take over the U.S very soon.

Pakistan has full confidence in China and the Chinese Leadership. Anti-CPEC arguments or creating hype through media tools could not damage two iron brothers’ mutual policy of economic growth and strategy for future regional prosperity. On the other side, almost all Muslim countries support China, which indirectly means there are no Muslims Minorities or Uyghur issues as depicted in the media reports. The only issue China, Xinjiang faced during 2008 to 2015 was Uyghur Terrorist (Jihadist) attacks in the province. On that time China had decided to cope with the situation and launched a crackdown against these extremist elements. Pakistan knows very well how to fight against terrorist even better than the US who is still in a cage caught at grounds of Afghanistan and wants to get runway now. Pakistan has fought and done same operations or crackdowns against terrorist in the country. This is obvious that whoever aims to destroy the country’s peace will be dealt with stiff hands. In the end we can ask a few questions here. During the Chinese operations against terrorists, when China requested western media and social media to share data, why did they refuse? Being a leader country in the region, Beijing knows how to maintain peace in the region. But being a leader country in the world, Washington still needs to answer why they have failed providing peace in the world.
