APCEA distributes 1300 ration bags to Bait-ul-Mal

ISLAMABAD, Apr. 20 (Gwadar Pro)-All-Pakistan Chinese Enterprises' Association (APCEA) and its 13-member companies contributed 1300 ration bags to Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) under APCEA Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) 2023, in Islamabad.

The slogan of the activity was, "No empty stomachs, only hearts full of compassion." The beneficiaries included a large number of orphans, widows and deserving families. The representatives of APCEA distributed the "family food package" to 1300 poor families with more than one month's livelihood (including rice, flour, oil, beans, concentrated drinks, etc.).

Spokesperson APCEA said that the traditional friendship between Pakistan and China is profound, and the various forms of mutual help and mutual assistance between the peoples of the two countries are the meaning of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan.

While vigorously promoting local economic construction, all Pakistani Chinese enterprises and their member enterprises have long contributed to social public welfare activities such as people's livelihood development, poverty alleviation and support, he said.

“The purpose of this event is to do everything in our power to help poor families in Pakistan, solve the hunger problem they face, and convey warmth and confidence to celebrate the festival.”

Since Ramadan, a number of Chinese-funded enterprises and projects in Pakistan have contributed to provide cash donations, relief kits, drugs and medical equipment, road repair and other possible help to the local community.

On behalf of the local poor families, PBM thanked APCEA and donor companies for their active participation in the event while effectively providing help to the local people and improving the living conditions of the poor families.

PBM assured to provide a convenient and efficient channel for donations, transparency of donations, and to carry out various forms of relief activities for the poor to improve their living standards.

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, a public interest organization of the Government of Pakistan, is providing assistance to widows, orphans, the disabled, poor families and other vulnerable groups in need. More than 100 people from PBM, 13 donor companies including local and Chinese media attended the event.
