ACEG-led JV declared top bidder for Package- I of N-50
ISLAMABAD, Oct. 28 (Gwadar Pro)- The National Highway Authority (NHA) on Thursday declared China’s M/s Anhui Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (ACEG) and its Pakistani partner Matracon as the most advantageous bidder for the dualization and improvement of Package-I of existing National Highway (N-50) between Dera Ismail Khan and Zhob.
As per NHA notification, ACEG in a JV with Matracon Pakistan Private Limited has topped the list of the bidders for 50 kilometers Package-I of N-50 between Yarik (D.I. Khan), Saggu, (Balochistan). Thirteen companies have participated in the bidding. Of them, only six have been qualified while eight were disqualified. The bidding took place on August 23, 2022.
ACEG is one of the Top China 500 Enterprises and international contractors. The company possesses five top-grade qualifications as a general construction contractor in the sectors of building and road construction.
The dualization and upgradation of N-50 is an important connectivity project which is a link between the Hakla-Dera Ismail Motorway (M-14) ─a project of the western alignment route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)─ and Zhob Balochistan.
The upgradation of 235 km Yarik-Zhob (N-50) Phase-I is an important project under CPEC. The salient features of the project include existing alignment (section of N-50) with geometric improvement; 210 km in length. Improvement / Upgradation of 2-lane road to 4 lanes while 100m R.O.W will be acquired to upgrade it to six lanes in the future. The total cost (construction plus land acquisition): is Rs. 76,486 million. PC-I was approved by ECNEC on 12th April 2017.
