Online summer school on maritime affairs 2022 begins
LAHORE, Aug. 22 (Gwadar Pro)-The online summer school on maritime affairs 2022 organized by the new research center of Minhaj University Lahore with the name of “Center of Research and Innovation in Maritime Affairs (CRIMA) begins today.
The summer school aims to create awareness in the fields of maritime understanding, blue economy and trade, role of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and its importance in blue economy, maritime security and power politics in Indian Ocean, maritime tourism and the availability effectiveness and implementation of the resources.
Students, scholars and officials in maritime affairs are attending the 5-day session.
In addition to examining the threats to the maritime sector, the output of the summer school will contribute to the fields of maritime experts, scholars and academia as well. This summer school will consider the scope, content and structure of CRIMA.
The workshop will cover areas including understanding maritime, maritime biodiversity, blue economy and trade, global recession and the role of CPEC, maritime security and power politics and maritime infrastructure.
According to the university sources, the mission of the new research center is to sustain maritime development through advanced research and strengthen international maritime cooperation. The center embraces intellectuals and experts on maritime affairs to efficiently harness the maritime potential and address problems & challenges the maritime industry is facing.
