Training Course on Poverty Alleviation in SCO Countries Inaugurated
QINGDAO, July 28 (Gwadar Pro)- The opening ceremony of the training course on poverty alleviation in SCO countries and the inauguration of the preliminary selection class was held at China- SCO Institute of Economic and Trade, Jiaozhou, Qingdao on Wednesday. This training course plans to set up 13 pre-selected shifts to demonstrate China’s experience in poverty alleviation and introduce successful practices of rural revitalization in an all-round way.
At the 21st meeting of SCO Council of Heads of State, China put forward the task of providing 1,000 poverty alleviation training opportunities to SCO member states from 2022 to 2024.
According to the project arrangement, Qingdao will undertake the task of training 200 professionals in the field of poverty reduction and development for SCO countries within 3 years, and promote the in-depth development of friendly and cooperative relations with SCO countries and relevant regions through training exchanges for the benefit of the people of all parties.
The training course invites experts in the fields of industrial poverty alleviation and rural revitalization to focus on the actual development of the industry and the application of the latest technology around China’s poverty alleviation policies, system design, experience and practices, agricultural industrial development, rural e-commerce and other related themes, share the cases of agricultural and special products e-commerce to help rural revitalization, build an exchange platform, and promote the multilateral economic and trade development of SCO countries.
More than 130 employees from SCO countries attended the initial training online and offline. Among the 13 training courses, Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College will conduct e-commerce training courses for Pakistan’s officials, enterprises and students.
While appreciating SCO’s comprehensive development agenda, Pakistan’s prime minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that its core purpose was the growth and prosperity of member nations during a meeting with SCO Secretary General Ambassador Zhang Ming recently. The PM also lauded China’s achievements in poverty alleviation and underlined Pakistan’s priorities and national development goals in areas involving poverty alleviation.
