Understanding China Fellowship program kicks off

RAWALPINDI, July 7 (Gwadar Pro) - Launching ceremony of Understanding China fellowship was held at PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi jointly organized by Asian Institute of Eco Civilization Research and Development (AIERD) and CPEC-Agriculture Cooperation center (CPEC-ACC) Wednesday.

Her Excellency Pang Chunxue, Charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, Chairman Standing Committee Defense graced the occasion.

Expressing her views about the strong bilateral Pak-China ties, Pang Chunxue emphasized the importance of “Understanding China Fellowship” program. She said that as the two nations working in close coordination on local and international issues, it is needed to develop such understanding among youth.

Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed said that government cooperation in the agricultural sector can be a real game changer for Pakistan’s economy and will uplift the livelihood of people in the agricultural sector.

He congratulated Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, Vice Chancellor PMAS-AAUR for taking lead in precision agriculture development and launching of successful model in Pakistan.

Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman welcomed the honorable guests and conveyed his appreciation to both organizers.

“Now Pakistan is home to CPEC, thus, Asian Institute of Eco-civilization and PMAS-AAUR have joined hands and launched this training program with support from the Embassy of People’s Republic of China, Pakistan,” the VC said.

“We hope through this training program, we will be able to contribute to strengthening Pakistan-China relations by training the youth,” he added.
