2nd Derajat Off-Road Challenge to kick off on CPEC M-14

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Feb 27 (Gwadar Pro) -  As Hakla-Dera Ismail Motorway (M-14) ─a project of western alignment route of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)─ besides connectivity, promotes tourism in the southern parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), D.I. Khan is set to welcome Pakistan’s top racers and adventure seekers to a stunning multi-terrain track along M-14 from March 4 to 6.

The second “Derajat Off-Road Challenge 2022” will take place in D.I. Khan along CPEC M-14, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan on January 5, 2022.

“Land of history, heritage, nature arts and adventure all geared up to host Pakistan’s top racing icons for a thrilling event,” said KP Provincial Minister Faisal Amin Khan, adding the participants will enjoy all the above-mentioned items in one-package on multi-terrain track along the CPEC western route. All the arrangements are being finalised for the rally, he said. 

During the first Derajat Off-Road Challenge 2021, more than 100 racers had participated. However, this time the event would be more thrilling, as besides racers thousands of people come from different parts of the country will watch the races. They can reach the venue via M-14.

Divisional Administration of D.I Khan, Cultural and Tourism Department of KP have organised the off-road rally. The starting point of the rally will be set up along Yarik Interchange, CPEC Motorway in D.I Khan. The riders will have 170 kilometres of radius between Yarik and Rehmani Khel to run their vehicles at one of the most beautiful multi-terrain tracks at foothills of Shaikh Badin and CPEC Western route. The spectators could enjoy watching the rally from Yarik-Islamabad Motorway.
