TikTok left Google behind in Pakistan and Worldwide

ISLAMABAD, Dec 23 (Gwadar Pro)-As TikTok took the Number 1 spot in the global ranking from google.com in late 2021, during this period, the Chinese video-sharing platform is also the most popular domain in Pakistan.

According to the Cloudflare website, google.com (which includes Maps, Translate, Photos, Flights, and books among others) ended 2020 as the undefeated leader in its ranking — from September to December of last year, it was always on top. Back then, TikTok.com was only ranked number 7 or number 8. However, it was February 17, 2021, that Tiktok got the top spot for a day. In March 2021, TikTok remained on top for a few more days and Google remained on top for some days. However, October and November 2021 were mostly TikTok days including Thanksgiving (November 25) and Black Friday (November 26), according to Cloudflare’s ranking.

Other than Google, Tiktok has left behind some of the famous websites like Facebook, Microsoft.com, Apple.com, Amazon.com, Netflix.com, Youtube.com, Twitter.com, and Whatsapp.com.

In Pakistan during the last 30 days, Tiktok ranks number #1 in most popular websites in the country followed by facebook.com, google.com, Microsoft.com, and wahstapp.com. Chinese technology website vivoglobal.com is at #11, taobao.com at #14 and mi.com stands at #15 during the current week in Pakistan. Tiktok stands at number 1 today (Thursday).

During the past seven days, Tiktok has stood at Number 1 position globally and in Pakistan as well. Globally, Google is at #2 while in Pakistan, Facebook is at # 2 position.
