China’s MoC to organise two seminars for senior officials of Pakistan, other BRI nations

Islamabad, Nov 9 (Gwadar Pro) - The Academy for International Business Officials, Ministry of Commerce, China will organise two separate seminars for senior government officials of Pakistan and other countries along the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative. The 14-day-long seminars will be held online from 24th November to 7th December, 2021.

According to the documents shared by a Pakistani official with Gwadar Pro, the first seminar is titled ‘Building and Operation of Industrial Parks under BRI”. This seminar will enable officials of BRI nations to learn from China’s experience and practices on planning, construction and management of industrial parks. The seminar will promote communication and cooperation on industrial parks development between China and the BRI countries, the documents stated.

The second seminar is titled ‘South-South Cooperation for Developing Countries’. This seminar is aimed at enabling the participants to improve their understanding of China’s aid policy and the BRI initiative to familiarise themselves with Chinese foreign aid management models and to analyse typical cases of aid projects and learn from their experience to improve the management of aid projects.

A total of 25 senior government officials from Pakistan and other BRI countries will take part in each seminar. The seminars will provide the participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas with Chinese experts on how to excellently plan, execute and operate industrial parks in their respective countries. The seminars will also enable the officials to know more about Chinese grants and their better utilisation for optimum results.

The Ministry of Commerce of China earlier held a similar seminar exclusively for Pakistani government officials from September 9 to September 22 on cooperation on industry and industrial parks.
