Pakistani ambassador pays rich tribute to frontliners of Yichang First Medical Hospital in Wuhan

Wuhan, Nov. 3 (China Economic Net) - The Pakistani Ambassador to China, Moin ul Haque on Tuesday paid rich tribute to the doctors, nurses, and health officials of Yichang First Medical Hospital who are at the forefront of the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

An award ceremony in honor of the medical team of Yichang People’s First Medical Hospital was organized at the headquarters of China Three Gorges Corporation (CGT) in Wuhan on Tuesday.

It is to be noted that this medical team had recently returned to Hubei from Pakistan after serving more than one year at the Karot Hydropower project.

The Ambassador Moin ul Haque attended the event as the Chief Guest along with senior leaders and officials from Hubei Province.

In his remarks, the Ambassador paid rich tribute to the medical team by calling each member a shining star and an ambassador of China-Pakistan friendship and solidarity. He expressed his gratitude by recognizing their selfless and dedicated services that had touched the hearts of the Pakistani nation.

Ambassador also thanked the leadership of CGT for carrying out important Hydropower projects in Pakistan and ensuring the continuity of the work and welfare of workers, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Hong Wenhao, Assistant President of CGT briefed about the construction progress of the Karot Hydropower project and contributions of the medical team from Yichang Hospital in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic in Pakistan.

Later special appreciation certificates were presented by Ambassador Haque to the members of the medical team.
