CPEC hub Gwadar to get safe drinking water

GWADAR, August 31 (Gwadar Pro)- The provincial government of Balochistan has said that safe drinking water will be available to resolve the issue in Gwadar – the hub of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana held a meeting on Monday to discuss the issues of Gwadar. The meeting was informed that immediate steps had been taken to solve the shortage of drinking water in Gwadar.

Special Assistance to the Prime Minister Imran Khan on CEPC Affairs Khalid Mansoor, Commissioner of Makran division Shah Irfan Gharsheen, Deputy Commissioner of Gwadar Major Abdul Kabir Zarkoon (retd) and senior officials of the Gwadar Port Authority, Gwadar Development Authority and other departments attended the meeting.

A detailed briefing regarding CPEC projects was also launched under the supervision of the Gwadar Port, Gwadar Free Zone, and Gwadar International Airport Development Authority, Gwadar.

Chief secretary Mathar Niaz Rana briefed the meeting on the Gwadar port and CPEC projects as well as the projects initiated with the collaboration of provincial and federal governments. He said these projects would be completed soon.

He said the projects were launched for the wellbeing of the people who lived in that area and the government was taking steps to develop the fisheries sector.
