Corona's fourth wave, NCO directs provinces to ensure implementation of SOPs on Eid

ISLAMABAD, July 21 (Gwadar Pro) - The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has directed the provinces to ensure the implementation of SOPs on Eid in view of the fourth wave of coronavirus and expressed satisfaction over the additional measures taken by the Sindh government to stop the spread of coronavirus.

According to details, a meeting of NCOC was held under Asad Umar, chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning. The meeting reviewed the implementation of SOPs related to Eid-ul-Adha. The spread of coronavirus epidemic in Gilgit-Baltistan including Karachi was considered.

Expressing satisfaction over the additional measures taken by the Sindh government to control coronavirus, NCOC said that in view of the spread of coronavirus in Gilgit-Baltistan, 500 oxygen cylinders and 30 ventilators have been added.

Briefing the forum on enhancing the capacity of vaccination, it was informed that 5.5 million vaccines are being administered daily in the country. Vaccine centers in the country will remain closed only on Eid-ul-Adha.  

Declaring the implementation of NCOC orders and SOPs as very important on Eid, instructions to the administrations of all the provinces to ensure implementation of SOPs have been issued.

The rate of positive cases across the country has risen to 5.2 percent, while in 24 hours, another 37 people have died because of coronavirus and more than 2,100 cases have been reported.
