Pakistan, China sign MoU to enhance vocational education in Pakistan

BEIJING, July 15 (China Economic Net) – Pakistan and China on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the enhancement of vocational and technical education in Pakistan and launched a CCTE Mode Sino-Pak Dual Diploma Joint Education Program.
 
An MoU between TEVTA of Punjab, Zalmi Foundation, and Tang International Education Group about CCTE Model Modernization Sino-Pak Dual Diploma Vocational and Technical Joint Education Program has singed through an online and offline meeting.
 
Mr. Mian Aslam Iqbal, Minister of Industries Commerce, Investment & Skills Development of Punjab, Ali Salman Siddique, Chairperson of TEVTA, Mr. Awais Ahmad Khan, Counselor from Pakistan Embassy, Mr. Li Jinsong, CEO and Founder of Tang International, and Max Ma, Executive President of Tang International Education Group of Pakistan Subsidiary participated in this event.
 
It is to be noted that under CCTE Sino-Pak Dual Diploma Joint Education Program, the students need to study for 2 years in Pakistan and 1 year in China. China Tang will try its best to coordinate resources to assist students’ scholarship, accommodation, and food expenses. The students will get one diploma certificate issued by China's leading vocational college and the other one will be issued by a Pakistani counter partner.
 
According to Mou, China Tang will facilitate these students to have good jobs in different industries, especially in CPEC Industry in Pakistan. These students will be considered technicians/supervisors as per 3 years DAE program. They can handle middle-level management matters in different industries in Pakistan.
 
Li said that since its establishment, Tang International Education Group has been dedicated to supporting China and foreign education cooperation through modern education technology for more than ten years. 
 
"By now, we have served more than 11,000 teachers and more than 652,000 students for more than 500 colleges and universities around the world", he mentioned.
 
He further said that The Sino-Pak friendship has a long history and is stronger than ever.
 
"In recent years, Tang has been actively promoting education cooperation between China and Pakistan. We hope to rely on Tang’s years of experience to bring China’s advanced vocational education system, education technology, and superior disciplines into Pakistan and strengthen talent cultivation through modern technology and help to promote the social and economic development of Pakistan and the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor", Li stated.
 
He further said that in 2020, with the same vision and mission, Tang was honored to join hands with Zalmi Foundation, to introduced the CCTE model dual diploma vocational-technical joint education program into Pakistan.
 
It’s a newly international education cooperation model which has been successfully implemented in countries including Thailand, Russia, and Malaysia.
 
"We have reported and proposed the CCTE Model Sino-Pak Dual Diploma Vocational Technical Joint Education program and related details to the Embassy of Pakistan Beijing, CPEC Authority, NAVTTC,TEVTA of Punjab, other provincial TEVTAs, etc and got high recognition and positive comments from all concerned stakeholders and authorities" he mentioned.
 
Mr. Mian Aslam Iqbal, Minister of Industries Commerce, Investment & Skills Development of Punjab, Ali Salman Siddique said that Punjab TEVTA has always been committed to the improvement of the vocational education field in Pakistan, and its development vision is highly consistent with Tang.
 

The participants mentioned that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationships between China and Pakistan Tang and other parties will gather Chinese education resources to jointly promote the implementation of the Sino-Pak Dual Diploma Vocational Technical Joint Education Program with Zalmi Foundation, and Punjab TEVTA.
