Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Population Welfare Ahmad Hussain Shah has said that the government is striving to promote girls education in the far-off areas of the province.

“I am pleased to inaugurate this high school building as local girls can now receive education at this lone facility at their doorstep,” he told the inauguration ceremony of the Government High School for Girls building in the Goschain area of Balakot tehsil on Sunday.Hussain Shah said that local girls used to quit education after the middle classes but now schoolgirls of not

only the Goschain but also dozens of other adjoining villages could complete their matriculation in the area.

He also announced construction of a 10km road to link Goschain with the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad road.

“I had also laid the foundation stone of a basic health unit here earlier and ever since, the center has been providing healthcare services to locals.

Now this girls’ high school would also provide an equal educational opportunity to local girls to complete their matriculation education first and then move to Balakot and Mansehra to complete their higher education,” he added.
