Chinese companies to relocate industries to Pakistan soon under CPEC: PM Imran Khan

Islamabad, June 5(Gwadar Pro)-Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday afternoon, that soon the Chinese companies will relocate their industries in Pakistan under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Addressing a ceremony after performing the groundbreaking of upgrading and rehabilitation of CPEC’s 62 kilometers long Lodhran-Multan highway, the Prime Minister said the CPEC project had entered the next phase of industrialization. The Lodhran-Multan highway project will be completed at a cost Pakistani Rs 6.886 billion in two years’ time.

“Now the Chinese companies will relocate their industries in the Special Economic Zones of Pakistan,” he said.

PM Khan said the government was building ten dams as part of efforts to enhance the water storage capacity. “To protect the future of our coming generations, we are planting ten billion trees. The government has given unprecedented incentives to the construction industry and as a result of which the cement sales have reached record levels," he added.

The PM said the government has steered the country out of difficult times and now it will witness sustainable growth and development. There will now be wealth generation and people will get job opportunities. On the economic front, he said people will continue to hear good news.
